ALTの先生による入学式についての感想をいただいています。
On
Tuesday, I saw my first Junior High School Entrance Ceremony. We do not have
Entrance Ceremonies in Australian schools, so I was very excited to watch. The
ceremony was very interesting and lovely. I really liked hearing the brass
band, they are amazing! I was happy to see all the new 1st Year
students this year, too.
In Australia, new 1st Year high school students have orientation on the first school day. Students meet their new homeroom teachers and classmates, but do not have a ceremony. Australian schools have a whole-school assembly on the first Friday, it is like a Japanese Opening Ceremony! All students are welcomed to school and new teachers introduce themselves.
