ALTの先生による避難訓練の感想をいただいています。

On Thursday during 6^th period, we had an evacuation drill. At first, we had an earthquake drill. Everyone protected their heads and stayed under their desk. In Australia, earthquakes are very rare. So, we do not do earthquake drills in Australian school. It was interesting doing an earthquake drill, because it was my second time ever. I’m happy that I could do it. Now I know what to do in the future!

Next was the fire drill. Everyone was calm and went to the school oval. Then, teachers checked attendance. This is the same in Australian schools. In Australia, we also have special teachers who check the buildings during a fire. It’s very important!

After that, some of Izumiotsu’s firefighters taught us about evacuation safety. I learned a lot this day, so thank you very much!
